By default, a router's IP address is configured to 192.168.0.1, or something similar. If you are having problems accessing your router using this IP address, there are a few simple measures that you can take to correctly configure your router settings.

Router Configuration Using http://192.168.0.1

If you are having trouble configuring your router to 192.168.0.1, the easiest solution is to reboot your router by simply turning it off and then back on again.

Another solution to reconfiguring your router is to reset your router to its factory settings. Follow the instructions in your router's manual to perform the factory reset. It is important to note that you will lose all of your custom settings by proceeding with a factory reset.

Perform a Network Scan

If neither of the above solutions work, it is possible that your configuration issues are due to a change in your router's IP address. You may fix this by performing a network scan (192.168.x.0 to 192.168.x.254, 10.x.x.0 to 10.x.x.254).

The router settings can be accessed and modified from a computer connected to the router. The configuration page can be accessed on the router through the internet browser.
