The iPhone 11 Pro Max is currently on offer at Carphone Warehouse for a £50 Black Friday discount. This might well be one of the best deals yet on Apple’s premium flagship; finding a price reduction on a new iPhone is a difficult thing to do, which makes every legitimate offer worth its weight in gold.

Obviously, the 11 Pro Max still isn’t cheap. The £50 saving applies to all three storage variants, which means that you’ll pay £1,099 (was £1,149) for the 64GB model, £1,249 (was £1,299) for the 256GB model and £1,449 (was £1,499) for the 512GB model. Once again, we can’t stress enough the scarcity of these sorts of deals. Even if they are pretty meagre, they are well worth your time.

The reason for this is simple: the iPhone 11 Pro Max is pretty much the best smartphone around. We awarded it five stars and a Best Buy , describing it as “the best of the best” and praising the screen, camera, battery life and overall design.

Apple upped the ante this year by adding two extra cameras into the mix: a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. At long last, you can now take a good photo in low light conditions, thanks to the new Night mode. Better yet, Apple’s trademark unbeatable speed and display technology is now complemented by a bigger, more efficient battery that can charge to 50% in 30 minutes.

We only criticised two things about the iPhone 11 Pro Max: the lack of a 5G option, and the frankly extortionate price. We can’t do much about the former, but the latter can be remedied by this cracking(ish) deal. If you’re looking to invest in the priciest of Apple’s new iPhones, there’s no reason not to save yourself £50.
