If you need to connect to the Internet with a new wireless device but cannot remember the password for your WiFi network, you can access your network security key from your computer's internet configuration settings. This method is very straightforward and does not require any third-party software or administrator access.
Note that this method specifically applies to Windows 10 computers, though it should also work on all portable Windows devices running Windows 7 or later.
How To Find Your Network Security Key
Click the wireless network connection that is located on the right side of the task bar, and select Open Network and Sharing Center.
Find the Connections section, and click the name of your WiFi network. Then, click Wireless Properties.
Go to the Security tab, and check the option for Show Characters. Once checked, your wireless password should be visible.
